India declined Pakistan-born Khawaja’s visa

Pakistan-origin Australian batsman Usman Khawaja on Tuesday said he was being declined a visa into India for the forthcoming Champions League Twenty20 tournament because of his country of birth.

Usman voiced his irritation on social Networking site Twitter, saying India’s visa department need to sort their issues out.

“Refusing to let me travel to India as an Australian, because I wasn’t born here. Wow,” tweeted Usman, the first Muslim Australian player, who is included in the squad of New South Wales for Champions League. India declined Pakistan-born Khawaja’s visa
